Temporary pause/suspension of accepting or approving any new applications:

Tails of Help is working hard to keep more Alberta pets healthy and with their loving families. It is clear that the need for this program has surpassed our current capacity to fund it. Tails of Help now has allocated all currently available charitable funds for providing pet treatment aid. Effective immediately, as of April 26, Tails of Help will temporarily suspend accepting applications to aid pet owners in need.

• Tails of Help is not able to accept or approve any new complete applications that are sent to Tails of Help on or after April 26,
  until we are able to announce the end of the suspension period.
• Tails of Help cannot approve applications that clinics submitted incomplete before April 26 (missing some required documents), until the end of the suspension period.
  Clinics are responsible for reapplying if appropriate.
• PAYMENTS: For applications that Tails of Help received and approved before April 26, we are still making payments upon receiving the required invoices and any other documentation needed. The temporary suspension period is for acceptance or approval of new applications, not for payments regarding previous approvals.Tails of Help is planning a campaign to replenish funds.
• Veterinary practices and members can help by making donations, by planning fundraising events in their practices, and by signing up to participate in our 2024 Alberta Challenge fundraising campaign this fall. We have gone through this twice before in Tails of Help past history.
• Each time our supporters in the public and veterinary communities have been quick to respond with more donations, and allow us to rebuild our funding reserves and re-open our applications to aid more pets.
