This past weekend saw the Marda Gras Street Festival throw another huge party in the Marda Loop neighbourhood of Calgary on Sunday August 12. There were great fun activities for the whole family, with the Pet Pageant, a rich variety of music and dancing from different cultures, face painting, and a wide selection of festival food feasting.

Tails of Help was there with our volunteers staffing the booth for tons of visitors. The event was another great success to help raise public awareness about our charity, and spread the word about how to access our program aid to provide veterinary treatment for pets of low income Alberta families. We were also successful in gathering more donations to support our cause, more volunteer sign-ups to help us with future events and fundraising efforts, and early registrations for our upcoming Howloween Dog Walk in Calgary. Thank you again to the volunteers who made this event another success for our charity. Thank you to the generous visitors who made donations to Tails of Help at the event, and to those who signed up to volunteer for future activities. Many thanks again to our generous corporate sponsor VCA Canada for sharing their tent with us, and for gathering donations to Tails of Help with pet tag engraving there at the event.

Look for us again at our next big event in Calgary, the Howloween Dog Walk on Saturday, October 27. Pets in costumes, families in costumes,
