1. HOW TO SEND COLLECTED FUNDS TO TAILS OF HELP:
For all VCA Canada and Vet Strategy clinics:
Please send notice to your accounting department to make payment to Tails of Help for the donations total your clinic has gathered. Your corporate accounting department is set up to make payment to Tails of Help by direct deposit. Please ask them to notify us of the hospital and the amount for your donation total.
For ALL OTHER CLINICS:
You can make payment to Tails of Help by cheque (details below), by email payment, or by direct deposit:
- For email payment, please send one email payment, for your clinic total funds raised, to donate@tailsofhelp.ca
- For direct deposit payment, please use your bank electronic funds transfer feature to deposit to Tails of Help account as follows:

THE ALBERTA CHALLENGE IS BUILDING UP STEAM!

… Northern Alberta built on their lead ahead of Southern Alberta to begin the 2022 Alberta Challenge!
Based on reported results, the top team as of this week is VCA Canada Animal Care Centre of Strathmore (near Calgary) with a narrow lead in first place,
then Lomsnes Veterinary Hospital in second (Red Deer),
and VCA Canada Guardian Veterinary Centre (Edmonton) in third place,
followed closely by VCA Canada Mills Haven Animal Hospital, VCA Canada Royal Oak Animal Hospital, and Beaumont Animal Clinic,
all running close together with the top three.

The Northern Alberta Team will consist of those clinics / groups / businesses north of Airdrie.
The Southern Alberta Team will consist of those clinics / groups / businesses south of and including Airdrie.
RESULTS UPDATES!
We are posting competition updates on Facebook and Twitter on a weekly basis.
We will let you know what clinic is leading the competition and also North versus South progress.
In order to do this we ask that you update your results HERE each Friday, commencing Friday November 18th through Friday January 6th, stating the total $$ raised up to that date during the campaign. You can email your results to alberta-challenge@tailsofhelp.ca – we will then post updates on the following Monday.

Assistance To Financially Challenged Pet Owners.

Tails of Help is seeking to raise commitments of $236,000 during its fiscal year ending May 31, 2023 through its fundraising campaigns. We estimate that it will cost our organization $59,000 to raise this amount. We anticipate that these fundraising costs will be entirely covered by corporate sponsorships and grants. This means that all additional donations will go toward our charitable activity of helping pets and families. We plan to use the donated money to fund essential veterinary care for ill or injured pets of Alberta owners who are experiencing financial hardship.
